What is MOSAIC?

MOSAIC, an acronym for "Making Our Space An Inclusive Community, is a new living/learning community housed in Manzanita-Mohave Hall at The University of Arizona for student participants in Multicultural Affairs & Student Success (MASS) programs.

It is our desire that the community on this floor intentionally focus on appreciating the diversity in perspectives and life experiences of its residents. One of the literal definitions of the word “mosaic” is “composed of a combination of diverse elements.” We feel that just as a mosaic is comprised of diversity, so are the residents of this living/learning community representing the diversity on campus.

Students from the following MASS programs will be represented on the MOSAIC wing : The New Start Summer Program, the Dorrance Scholars, The African American Student Affairs FAST Program, the University of Arizona Hispanic Alumni Scholars, the MERITS Program, and Student Support Services/TRiO among others.

In order to participate in MOSAIC, students must first apply for housing through the office of Residence Life.
